Why combos
On sportsbooks, the parlay is where the revenue is.
The Illinois Gaming Board reports parlays apart from single bets. They took a larger share of what players wager in every year since 2021, and a far larger share of what the books keep. In 2025:

Nobody hand-prices a combo. The slip computes it from the legs a player picked, in three steps., and shows the result in their odds style and their currency.

Each leg is priced at its ask
The price of a leg is what buying that side of the market costs right now: the executable ask, never a midpoint. A leg whose price is not fresh enough to bet on is refused, and the slip is not priced around it. - 02
The combo is priced live, with a margin you control
The slip prices the whole combo from each leg's current market, and re-prices it as those markets move. Your margin is set per operator, and it is never applied to a number that has already been rounded. - 03
Odds and payout follow, rounded toward the house
The combo price becomes the odds and the potential payout, both rounded down. Your players read it in the odds style you configure: decimal, percent or American.

Indicative
Priced the same way, on live leg prices. Not a price anyone has committed to fill, and every slip says so.
A practice receipt
Lock in practice combo sends no order, opens no position and moves no balance. Practice accounts only, never a real-money one.
Real money: not yet
Off until the execution work is finished. Then Place asks for a firm price, shows Calculating, and the player confirms it before anything is submitted.
Your controls
A combo multiplies risk, so every limit is yours.
Each operator configures combos separately, and every change is recorded in the audit log with the settings before and after.
Only contracts the venue lists as combo legs carry the +. A contract whose listing is unknown shows no + at all, rather than one that fails when the slip is priced.
- Legs per combo
- A minimum and a maximum, from 2 legs up to a ceiling of 10. Every size in between is a complete combo.
- Stake and payout
- The most one combo may stake, the highest combined odds accepted, and the highest payout one combo may promise. A slip over a cap is refused, never quietly trimmed.
- Leg price band
- A floor and a ceiling on each leg's price, so long shots and near certain legs can be kept out of combos.
- Exposure
- How many open combos one player may hold, and the total payout promised across every open combo on your account.
- What can be combined
- Which categories legs may come from (sports by default), whether two legs may share an event (refused by default), how close to the start a leg may be added, and whether an event already in play may be.
