Acceptable use

What may not be done with this service or its API.

Pre-launch draft. Accurate about how the system works today; not reviewed by a lawyer and not a contract.

Integrity of the service

Do not attempt to gain access to data, accounts or systems you have not been granted access to. Do not attempt to disrupt or degrade the service, including by placing automated load on the API beyond what ordinary evaluation requires.

Do not attempt to circumvent the controls the product applies to orders, quote expiry, stake limits, freshness refusals, or to place orders against prices the system has declined to quote.

Integrity of the market

Do not use the service to manipulate the price of any underlying market, to coordinate trading intended to move a published price, or to trade on information obtained in breach of a duty of confidence.

Use of market data

Market questions, prices and resolutions originate with the underlying providers and are subject to their terms. Do not scrape this service to reconstruct a competing catalogue, and do not redistribute the normalized catalogue as your own data product.

Reporting

Suspected abuse, and security vulnerabilities in particular, should be reported to security@predicta.markets. Reports made in good faith are welcome and will not be treated as a breach of these terms.

Status of this document

This is a pre-launch draft. It accurately describes how the system currently behaves and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer.

A production deployment requires a named contracting entity, a governing law and jurisdiction, and jurisdiction-specific regulatory analysis for every market in which event contracts would be offered. Those are commercial and legal decisions that have not been made, and this document does not pretend otherwise.

If you are evaluating Predicta commercially, ask for the current draft of the agreement rather than relying on this page.
