October 2026: execution references
executionRef on every order
Every order now carries executionRef, a Parity execution reference of the form Parity_Best_ followed by 14 characters. It is stable for the life of the order and is the identifier to quote to Parity support when you report a problem; support accepts it in any letter case, with or without the prefix. It is additive: no existing field was renamed or removed. It appears on the order (POST /api/v1/orders, both single order reads and the paged list), on every order webhook (order.filled, order.completed, order.rejected, order.intent_recorded, order.cancelled), on reconciliation feed items that belong to an order, and on an order refusal that closed an order Parity had already recorded. See Orders.
Reason text quotes the execution reference
rejectReason on an order, reason on order.rejected and order.cancelled, detail on an order refusal, and reason and memo on reconciliation feed items quote the order's executionRef wherever the underlying refusal text names an order at the market Parity routed to, and name no venue. The field names and types are unchanged.

403 | sell_not_available | Quotes and orders, live accounts | Cashing out before settlement is turned off. |
422 | below_venue_minimum | Quotes, live accounts | A cash out smaller than the market’s minimum sale. Carries sellableContracts and minimumContracts. |
422 | insufficient_position | Quotes, live accounts (and orders, as before) | A cash out larger than the player holds free to sell. Carries sellableContracts and minimumContracts. |
Swipe the table sideways for more columns.
409 market_paused on a quote and 422 market_unavailable on an order also answer a contract that settles on a protocol Parity does not trade, with the detail “This market is not available to trade yet.” Such contracts are withdrawn from the catalogue. See Errors.
Live cash out
A sell on a live account is checked when it is quoted: sized in contracts, floored to the hundredth of a contract, at least the market's minimum sale and no more than is free to sell. The quote's contracts is the exact quantity that will be sent, and its venueFee is an estimate; the order's sellProceeds is what the sale actually returned, rounded down to the cent. See Quotes.
All-in money on a live fill
The venue's taker fee comes out of the amount Parity sends it, so the debit never exceeds the stake, the order's venueFee is the fee the venue took (venueFeeKnown: true), and on a fee-charging market filledQuantity is below the quote's contracts. While a fill's venue fee is being read, the order stays open and the remainder stays held. See The money contract.
Live caps and the trading pause
Where Parity sends your orders under your live operator policy, buys are checked against caps per order, per player and overall before they are sent, and an order over a cap, or waiting while your trading pause is on, is withdrawn with its hold released (status cancelled). Cash outs are not measured against the caps. See Orders.
Split results
A void the source settled by splitting the payout between both sides pays each contract its side's share of a dollar. outcome stays void, voidCredit carries the split payout with the platform fee kept, and realisedPnl says what the split cost. An annulled market is refunded in full, fee included, as before. See Settlement.
The request id
Quote and order requests may carry your own x-request-id (1 to 128 characters of letters, digits, ., _, : and -). Parity uses it when it is well formed and mints one otherwise, echoes it in x-request-id and parity-request-id, and stores it with the quote, the order and any refusal. On other routes parity-request-id is a random value that is not stored. To report a problem, send the request id with the route, the time, the player and the quote or order id. See Errors.
Additive changes
Every change above adds a code, a refusal field or a case. The request bodies, the order statuses and the two money identities are unchanged.
